Hey!! I'm so excited to be doing this!! This will be so fun! Ok, so I'm a little late to the game due to being out of the country and all (hence the title of my post, if you didn't catch that). So, literally just found out about it, but it's going to be so great!! I love this idea! Ok, I will try not to use as many exclamation marks from here on out.
But, I do have a purpose for posting. I think the thing I struggle with the most is motivation! (I know I said I would ease up on the exclamation marks, but I felt that statement really needed one.) But really, it's like what Aly said, I get so motivated to do something but by the time it comes time to do it I have talked myself out if and then just don't want it do it. Ever. And most of the time I get this surge of motivation comes when I'm at work or busy otherwise. Suggestions?? I could really use them. I have started helping dad (as of today) in the garden and I feel like that is something I really enjoy doing, but it doesn't produce a lot of results. However, there were several times when my arms were burning from doing things, so that's cool.
To sum it up. I need help. What are some things that you guys have done to get yourselves out the door and MOVING!?
Thanks family!! Love you! Love this! So great!

Mari, I think we all have problems with motivation, that's why we're trying to commit to doing this together. When someone else is holding you accountable, it turns the table a little bit. You were so good at going to the gym for a while, get back on a schedule. Every time you go you need to find some way to reward yourself. Find something you've really been wanting, and make yourself earn it by walking or working out. You can do this! You're going to do it and it has to start right now! We all have issues finding the motivation, dig deep and just do it when you know you're supposed to be. The hardest part is getting started. Love you sister!!
ReplyDeleteMy next post is going to be some motivational quotes to post around the room and bathroom. For some reason, quotes really help me! But I'm with Amy. We are all here to hold each other accountable. Mari, I commit to holding you accountable to everything you say you will do. And I hope you will do the same for me:)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'll get those quotes up and some other motivational tips and ideas.
I am trying to make short term goals and give myself a reward... If I finish this sugar cleanse and workout at least three times a week I get money for new clothes. :) works for me.
